Last Month, the Clinton Community College basketball hosted a clinic for the Peru Youth Basketball 56ers. The team was compiled of 5th and 6th graders from the Peru School District. Coach Kevin Daugherty, combined with Coach John Petro to give the young athletes a clinic consisting of basic fundamentals like defense, shooting, and ball handling.
Cougars' coaches and players all worked with the 5th and 6th graders to give a great educational experience. Coach “Doc” commented on the event and said “I have been doing clinics like this with teams of mine for the past 20 years. It is always a great for the younger athletes to get this kind of experience. It’s also a great experience for our guys to be able to do a little coaching.”
