Cougars survive Adirondack Community College

Clinton Community College survived a hot shooting night from the Adirondack Community College Timberwolves with a close 75-70 victory. Neither team was able to pull away, but it was the second half team performance that allowed the Cougars to secure the win. After struggling on the boards in the first half, Prentice Miller (Brooklyn, NY), and Lucas Aube (Charlotte,VT) combined for 15 rebounds in the second half.

Miller and Felo Niclas (Rosedale,NY) collected double-doubles with Niclas adding 16 points and 10 assists and 6 rebounds, and Miller with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Miller shot an impressive 80% from the field on the night. Three other Cougars finished in double digits, Rijkaard Jean-Baptiste (Brooklyn, NY) added 17 points, while Nate Peters (Brooklyn, NY) contributed with 12 points  and Kyle Cahoon (Chazy, NY) chipped in with 10 points.

The Cougars find themselves on the road on Sunday against the very competitive Mohawk Valley Community College. CCC returns home on January 30th to face off against rivals North Country Community College! The women’s team will start at 5:00pm, and the Men will follow after.
